Quality Control Supervisor
Commando is looking for a detail-oriented, team player to manage and provide direction to our quality control team. As the Quality Control Supervisor you will be involved in the day to day execution of all quality control processes. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment and has previous knowledge of garment construction.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage inspection process for finished goods, raw materials and WIP
- Maintain Seconds log and sort product for sample sale, employee give away and testing
- Maintain print and fabric history with swatches for each season and provide to manufacturing contractors
- Schedule inspection work based on availability and company prioritization
- Determine inspection thresholds and adjust as necessary based on experiences at product and vendor levels
- Establish and communicate hourly inspection goals
- Monitor quality issues and work with Production Manager as needed to solve concerns
- Alert Production Manager to product concerns when appropriate
- Organize and follow up on garment wear testing for new production and periodically for hosiery as needed
- Maintain Quality warehouse and track vendor repairs
- Lead Quality Control team
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of apparel manufacturing helpful
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of garment construction
- Excellent organizational skills
