E-Commerce Director

 

We are seeking an e-commerce leader to deliver transformative and profitable growth for Commando. This leader will be responsible for shaping and executing our e-commerce strategy end-to-end, elevating customer experience, optimizing paid media and digital marketing investments, and championing new tools and technologies that drive scale and efficiency.

This is a pivotal role for an entrepreneurial, data-driven leader who thrives at the intersection of brand, technology, and growth marketing. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of scaling DTC businesses, deep expertise in e-commerce ecosystems, and the ability to align digital initiatives with broader organizational and brand goals.

Location: South Burlington, VT | Full-time | Hybrid schedule (3–4 days/week in office)

Pay Range: $110k - $130k


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the long-term ecommerce strategy with aggressive but disciplined targets for revenue, margin, and customer lifetime value.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure ecommerce aligns seamlessly with Commando’s overall brand and business strategy.

  • Oversee paid media strategy and agency, optimizing spend and channel mix for both growth and efficiency.

  • Drive attribution and CAC/LTV analysis, and rigorous performance measurement to guide investment decisions.

  • Lead adoption and implementation of marketing technologies and analytics solutions, evaluating and integrating those that enhance the customer journey and business performance.

  • Own the onsite customer journey, from landing page to checkout, ensuring a seamless, branded, and conversion-optimized experience.

  • Champion testing, personalization, and UX enhancements to increase engagement, conversion, and repeat purchase.

  • Collaborate closely with brand, design, production, and wholesale teams to ensure consistency across channels.

  • Serve as a thought leader internally, advocating for digital best practices and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in ecommerce leadership roles, ideally in premium/luxury apparel or consumer brands.

  • Proven track record of scaling DTC ecommerce businesses and delivering significant revenue growth.

  • Expertise in paid media management, customer acquisition, retention, and digital analytics.

  • Strong experience with Shopify and Klayvio

  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation through technology adoption.

  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and profitability-focused.

  • Collaborative leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and brand-driven environment.
