Apparel Quality Assurance Specialist


Commando is looking for a detail-oriented team player to join our Quality Assurance team! 

Commando is looking for a detail-oriented team player to join our Apparel Quality Assurance team. The Apparel Quality Assurance Specialist follows all processes ensuring that Commando’s apparel quality expectations are met for all products manufactured. Our ideal candidate should have excellent judgment, experience with apparel, fabrics, measurements and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Overall Responsibility:

  • Inspect product upon arrival to ensure it meets our quality standards

  • Verify all documentation, visual and garment measurement specifications

  • Conduct garment wash testing as needed to verify durability, and after wash appearance

  • Coordinate fitting and/or wear testing as needed and/or 3rd party Inspections

  • Communication with vendors and suppliers regarding apparel testing and inspections.

  • Retrieve, download, and input data into production and quality systems or files

  • Review, weigh, shade match raw materials (fabrics/trims) to Commando specifications

  • Regular interaction with all internal departments to discuss apparel Quality standards

  • Contributes to Quality team by completing all tasks in a timely fashion

  • Complies data of apparel testing, and sample review to discuss both internally and with vendors.

  • Ensures the quality, reliability, and integrity of data collected

  • Utilize documents, data collected, internal programs, and processes to make decisions on audit selections and final dispositions of apparel orders

 

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Prefer previous experience with apparel—willing to train the right person

  • Must be organized and logical with good judgment

  • Effective written and verbal communication—Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and/or google

  • Ability to work independently as well as must be a team player

  • Ability to multi task & thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Must show strong attention to detail

  • Ability to read a measuring tape and calculate measurements
