Accounting Intern
Commando is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our Finance team! This position will perform various accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and participate in end-of-month closings.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Apply and post payments, apply credits, and post daily accounting transactions
- Serve as contact between onsite Receiving team and Supply Chain to ensure invoices match packing lists in ERP system - resolving issues as they arise
- Monitor and verify freight expenses
- Work with Production and Research and Development teams on various items including: discrepancies, new vendors, discounts, payments, cost, verify shipping charges and vouchers for product samples with additional attention to international shipping
- Provide research, reporting, and support as needed in each month’s end closing
- Monitor and manage finance email and correspondence
- Assists Office/HR staff as needed
- Cross functionally trained and available to internal departments when the need arises
- Follow all ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by the company and the department
- Adhere to Commando’s inventory control procedures
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Proficiency with computers, especially excel
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking
- Ability to work with confidential material and act with discretion
- Strong communication, organization and analytical skills
- Maturity and ability to work independently and as a team player
