Overall Responsibility: Provide quality sewn prototypes, fit and sales samples to the product development and design team.
Supervision Received: This position reports to the Product Development Supervisor

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Cut and Sew prototypes and samples as requested
- Maintain R&D sewing machines in good working condition and perform basic tuning and adjustments
- Assist in product engineering to ensure best construction to facilitate production process
- Assist in the formation of product specification packs, particularly sewing specs
- Assist in assembly of costing packages
- Train new R&D staff in samples cutting
- Keep R&D fabric and notions organized
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Follow all ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by the company and the department
- Adhere to commando’s inventory control procedures.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- 5 years sewing experience
- Industrial machine sewing experience
- Attention to detail and organized
- Ability to follow intricate directions
