Sample Maker

Overall Responsibility: Provide quality sewn prototypes, fit and sales samples to the product development and design team.

Supervision Received:  This position reports to the Product Development Supervisor

Supervision Exercised:  None

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Cut and Sew prototypes and samples as requested
• Maintain R&D sewing machines in good working condition and perform basic tuning and adjustments
• Keep R&D fabric and notions organized
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Follow all ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by the company and the department
• Adhere to commando’s inventory control procedures.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• 2-3 years garment sewing experience
• Attention to detail and organized
• Ability to read English sewing direction
